Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
